PRINCIPAL DUTIES1. CLINICAL LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT • Collaborate with unit Nurse Managers and Assistant Directors/Director of nursing in the operational designs of clinical competency, clinical educational program and staff professional growth and development.• Coach, mentor and assess nurse specialist and senior staff nurses in case management of direct patient care across the unit disciplines.• Guide and support nurse specialist and senior staff nurse in their supervisory and educational roles in maintaining and advancing quality care across the unit disciplines.• Assist the unit nurse specialist and senior staff nurses in developing critical thinking and clinical judgment.2. CLINICAL ASSESSMENT AND PLANNING• Review, evaluate and modify nursing care/practice, processes and documentation per specific needs for patients across the unit disciplines.• Monitor, track and appraise unit nurses on their performances and competencies in driving quality clinical standards across the unit disciplines.• Develop criteria and conduct regular clinical skills and knowledge assessments for the nurses• Establish measurement indicators to identify, track and evaluate care to ensure clinical quality and proficiency.3. CLINICAL COMPETENCY DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION• Establish systematic documentation method to identify, collect, and analyze nursing care data across the unit disciplines that serve as a basis for clinical care implementation and outcome measurement.• Serves as a reliable source of information/resource personnel on up-to-date evidences of nursing practice and quality clinical care• clinical standards and maintain proficiency based on ministry of Health guidelines across the unit disciplines.• Conduct learning assessment/needs analysis using a variety of strategic tools.• Design and evaluate innovative educational programmes for the nurses• Explore digital learning and develop e-learning tools to enhance teaching and learning.4. QUALITY IMPROVEMENT • Lead and support unit clinical practice and quality improvement initiatives.• Conduct regular clinical discourse sessions with nurses to present data, brainstorm ideas and fine-tune processes/frameworks/models.• Advise possible solutions to clinical issues and evaluate outcomes and make recommendations to unit Nurse Managers and Assistant Directors/Director of Nursing and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary healthcare team to integrate innovative practice into models of care delivery.5. RESEARCH FACILITATION• Conduct/contribute to nursing/clinical research through in-service research workshops/seminars.• Identify, establish and support nursing research task force/team across the unit disciplines to develop and promote sense of inquiry towards clinical approaches and interventions.• Interpret, analyze and communicate research findings for feasibility to support further pilot study/replication/application across the unit disciplines. • Lead in the conduct and utilization of nursing research through regular meeting to review and discuss literature trends.• Provide resources and educational support to unit nurse specialist and senior staff in their research proposals to recommend change in the unit‘s practice.• Organize internal editorial/publication team to circulate and share research activities through forum to encourage participation across the unit disciplines. 6. PATIENT CASE MANAGEMENT• Collaborate actively with the multi-disciplinary healthcare team on patient case management and deliver patient education on regular clinical rounds to ensure holistic care and follow-up. • Monitor the quality of patient care through nursing processes and care pathways/frameworks.• Lead and supervise unit patient education projects, care-giver training and disge follow-up.• Serves as the referral profess
